The Penang One Better Festival 2026 is taking over Esplanade, George Town this 22–23 August, with two full days of music, performances, creators, food, activities and giveaways — and entry is FREE! 🎉

🎤 LIVE PERFORMANCES & CREATORS

The festival brings together a big lineup of Malaysian artists, musicians and content creators, including Pei Yong, 3P, Dato’ Maw, Andrew Tan, babychair, HOW1E and more. Expect live music, entertainment, comedy and appearances throughout the weekend. 🎶🔥

There will also be a stand-up comedy session, including BBK 嘉雯, with Steven Sim also joining in for an interaction session.

🍔 FOOD & CREATIVE MARKET

Feeling hungry? Of course there will be food vendors and a creative market, giving visitors plenty of options to makan, shop and support local brands while enjoying the festival atmosphere.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 ACTIVITIES FOR THE FAMILY

The festival isn’t just for the youngsters!

There will be a Children’s National Day Costume Competition, cultural performances and other activities designed to bring families along too. 🇲🇾❤️

🏃‍♂️ M8TE ONE BETTER RUN

For those who prefer to start the day with some exercise, the M8TE x Penang One Festival Run 2026 will take place on 23 August, bringing the running community together before the festival activities continue. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Getting there doesn’t have to be a headache. Organisers have arranged free ferry rides, free Rapid Penang bus shuttle services and a limited number of Grab ride vouchers for festival-goers.

The festival is organised by Penang-based content creation team Wabikong, with Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim driving the initiative. After attracting nearly 20,000 people in its inaugural edition in Bukit Mertajam last year, the festival has now moved to Penang Island and expanded into a two-day event.
