Getting annoyed by people blasting videos or music on the bus?
One 57-year-old Singaporean has decided to tackle the problem in a rather unexpected way — he gives them free earphones.
Josh Goh started carrying spare earphones about two months ago after noticing passengers playing videos and music loudly on public transport.
In one recent incident, he approached a woman on a bus and offered her a pair of brand-new earphones for free. She declined, but the volume on her phone was turned down afterwards.
So far, he has tried this approach around 8–9 times and successfully given away 3–4 pairs.
Some commuters have praised him for finding a peaceful solution instead of confronting people or starting an argument.
Honestly, Singapore has tried “keep the volume down”.
This uncle said: “Never mind, I give you earphones.”
Would you accept a free pair if someone offered you one on the bus? 👀
